 Welcome
to the website of the First United Methodist Church of
Barrington. We hope that you will find this site full of
informative information about us and some of the work that
we are doing to further the name of Jesus Christ in people’s
lives.
We would like invite anyone who wishes to attend our Sunday
morning service at 10:00am to come and hear the Word. There
is no obligation or pressure to join, just a good time of
fellowship with others. We are a family oriented church that
makes anyone who attends feel as though they belong. We
would love to see new faces, especially children. Children
are the foundation of any church. So if you are looking for
a place to talk to God or just visit, try us. We are sure
that you will find what we say to be true. God bless you all

Each month we will strive to post information about our
upcoming events and functions. This past month, we had our
Christmas Eve Service which was a wonderful time of
fellowship and prayer and also our Christmas Day service. As
you can see with the picture, we had our church decorated
for the Christmas season with fresh
 poinsettias.
What a beautiful sight when you first entered and looked at
the manger with Mary and Joseph surrounded by all the lovely
flowers. God’s love for us is wonderful that He sent His
only Son into our world to save us. How many of us actually
took the time on Christmas day to say thank you.
The Lenten season begins with Ash Wednesday, February 22 and
ends on Easter Sunday April 8th. Our Easter Service will be
on April 8, 2012 at 10:00am. Easter celebrates the
Resurrection of our Lord and is the greatest feast in the
Christian calendar. Please come and celebrate with us in
remembering the Easter Season.
We will be holding a Western/Dinner movie night on March 10
at 6:00pm. We will be serving hot dogs, baked beans, cole
slaw and drinks.
Our annual Spaghetti dinner will be on April 28. We will be
having two seatings. The first at 4:30pm followed by another
at 6:00pm. We will be serving salad, spaghetti, meatballs,
